The RVMS Choir is open to all 7th and 8th grade students with no audition. Students are encouraged to sign up for Choir both semesters, but due to current scheduling limitations, students can sign up for only one semester if necessary. Middle School is often the time where many students try singing in a choir for the first time, so rehearsals and concerts are always a surprise!
Each semester, the RVMS Choir performs two concerts with the RVMS Band. During the spring semester, the Choir also participates in CKL League Middle School Music Festival, performing before judges for a rating. In the fall, Middle School Choir students can audition for SCKMEA District Middle School Honor Choir in November and KMEA State Middle Level Honor Choir and KCDA Treble Honor Choir in February.
